How do I get my Zune to play through the speakers on my laptop?

As per someone else's suggestion, I got a male 3.5mm wire, and connected my Zune with the microphone jack on my laptop. However, nothing pops up, and nothing can be heard when I turn on my Zune's radio tuner. How can I start listening to my Zune through my laptop?





BTW I'm running Windows 7.
