How do you get rid of Digital Protection?

I never downloaded it, it just popped up ever since i got a trojan virus on my computer. I have gone through the add and remove process on controll panel but, Digital Protection is still there. I need to get rid of it because it is blocking Nortan internet security virus and wont let Nortan scan the virus please help i have no idea how to delete it.How do you get rid of Digital Protection?
Restart your computer. Press F8 repeatedly. Then choose Safe Mode With Networking





Run RKILL before you install Malwarebytes.

Save Malwarebytes to your Desktop as x1x1x.exe, Then run it.





After the installation is complete, check for updates, then run a full system scan.

Ok so this is not an awnser, but its related. I am having the same issue and have done all of the above. With the one exception being that i can not access the internet in safe mode with networking. Therefore it was all performed regularly. The files are now ';quarantined'; but I don't know how to tell if theyre deleted? I am no longer recieveing pop ups/ random porn shots on my desktop, but when i startup windows Digital protection tries to load and i get the taskbar icon. Which at this point if you click becomes blocked permanently, or so it says. How do I get this COMPLETELY off my pc? btw i am running on windows xp

I restarted my computer , kept clicking F8 to get into safe mode, I ran all my free anti-virus and spyware.. First I ran Avast anti-virus, then Spybot-Search and Destroy, and Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware. You can download them all for free right off google or yahoo. Download them, go into Safe Mode, and it will catch your problems, It may take more than an hour or two if you use all three, but if you want your computer working perfect again, it is definitly worth the wait of the scan's.
